Marilu Frangiadis was born in the Dominican Republic and began her hospitality career behind the bar in the U.S. Virgin Islands. It was there, at Asolare on St. John, that she transitioned from bartender to garde manger—and became Mrs. Frangiadis. Marilu moved to Pittsburgh with Chef Christian, and has spent the last nine years playing a key role at Spork—mastering everything from bread and pasta making, to pastry and charcuterie. A devoted wife, mother of two, and passionate chef, Marilu’s versatility and dedication have been instrumental as Spork evolved into One by Spork, where her skills continue to shape the restaurant’s ever-changing culinary experience.
