One by Spork (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a single-table, reservation-only dining experience located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We collect a limited amount of personal information — only what is necessary to operate our reservation process, communicate with guests, and improve our website. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways: directly from you, and automatically through our website.

Information you provide directly:

  • Name, email address, and phone number, when you fill out a contact form or subscribe to our mailing list
  • Any details you share when reaching out with a reservation inquiry or question

Information collected automatically:

  • IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on pages
  • Data collected via cookies and tracking technologies, including tools managed through Google Tag Manager

Note: We are in the process of confirming which specific tags and scripts are active through our tag management system. We will update this policy once that review is complete. In the meantime, you may use browser-level tools to limit tracking (see Section 5).

2. Third-Party Platforms

Reservations are processed through Tock, and gift purchases are handled through GiftUp. We do not collect or store payment information directly — both platforms operate under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

Our mailing list is managed through Mailchimp. If you subscribe to updates from us, your name and email address are stored in Mailchimp and used to send those communications. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries and reservation requests
  • Send updates, announcements, and occasional marketing communications (only if you have opted in)
  • Understand how our website is used and identify areas for improvement
  • Meet legal obligations if required

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share information only with service providers who help us operate our website and communications — including Squarespace (website hosting), Mailchimp (email), Tock (reservations), and GiftUp (gifts). Each of these providers has its own data practices, and we encourage you to review their policies if you have questions about how they handle your data.

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the site to function; others are used for analytics and marketing purposes.

You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect how parts of the site work. Most browsers also support tools like Privacy Badger or similar extensions that give you more granular control over tracking.

If you have subscribed to our mailing list and no longer wish to receive communications from us, you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email or by contacting us directly.
